Girls Get Groove On With Gully

On Wednesday a group of Year 4s had the opportunity to attend The FA Football Festival at the magnificent training found of Brighton and Hove Albion. They took part in a number of matches, learnt how to do freestyle tricks, tested their shooting with a speed gun and handed out the red cards with an official referee. The girls had a wonderful time and thoroughly enjoyed this amazing day. Not even a freak thunderstorm could dampen their spirits, especially when they ended the morning with face painting and hair plaiting!

At Steyning Primary are immensely proud of the achievements of our girls' football team over the last 8 years. We have won nearly every tournament we have entered and have produced a number of players who have gone onto play in secondary school. We hope that many of these girls will go on to represent us next season and help us win even more silverware.

Click here for more photos from the day.
